***Note: The Kern EOC is located within a gated county compound that may be difficult for first-time visitors to find. The nearest intersection is Panorama Drive and Mt. Vernon Ave., directly east of Bakersfield College. (We are NOT the white building on the corner.) Traveling east on Panorama Drive, immediately after passing Mt. Vernon Ave., is a right-turn lane which becomes the driveway entrance to the compound. Directly ahead are two gates with up/down arms. Press “5” at the gate keypad for entry. When the gate arm lifts, a sliding gate to your left will simultaneously open. Turn left, driving past the sliding gate, into the compound parking lot. The EOC is the building to your right.
