Economic Recovery after a Disaster
After a major disaster, the California Disaster Recovery Framework suggests the activation of the State Economic Recovery Support Function (RSF) to provide guidance to State-level Economic leadership, members, and potential partners in support of the Economic Core Capability:
Return economic and business activities (including food and agriculture) to a healthy state and develop new business and employment opportunities that result in a sustainable and economically viable community.
The mission of the Economic RSF is to integrate the expertise of the State and Federal governments in order to support and enhance the efforts of local and tribal governments and the private sector to sustain and/or rebuild businesses and employment, and to develop economic opportunities that result in sustainable and economically resilient communities after natural and man-made disasters.
