The Disaster Logistics Field Teams hosted the Maritime and Port Tabletop Exercise in September of 2025. The discussion-based Tabletop Exercise brought together local, regional, state, and federal agencies, along with private sector maritime and non-governmental organizations. The exercise focused on strengthening strategic planning, readiness, and coordination in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Exercises like the Maritime and Port Tabletop Exercise help the Cal OES Disaster Logistics team test plans in a realistic context, strengthen coordination across agencies, and enhance readiness for real-world emergency and disaster response.
Cal OES Disaster Logistics played a pivotal role in bringing the California State Los Angeles Vaccination Super Site to life. From 6:00 am to midnight, truckloads of supplies rolled in as the Disaster Logistics teams worked tirelessly to build out the site. Their coordination and commitment made this entire operation possible. After all, nothing happens if nothing moves.
During the 2021 Dixie Fire, the Greenville Fire Department’s fire station was among the many structures destroyed in the disaster. Cal OES Disaster Logistics provided critical coordination and resource support to facilitate the deployment of a temporary fire station facility.
No matter the mission or the conditions, the Logistics Section is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to support emergency response efforts and keep California safe.
