CSTI Training Platform

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Acadis training platform?
The Acadis training platform is a centralized system used to manage courses, track certifications, maintain training records, and support training and administrative needs across public safety and emergency management organizations. It replaces fragmented tools used in CSTI such as spreadsheets, Cornerstone, and Lotus Notes, providing a more modern and efficient training management environment.
Is Acadis replacing Cornerstone as the training platform for CSTI?
Yes. Acadis will fully replace Cornerstone as the training management system for CSTI.
Why are we switching to Acadis?

We are switching to Acadis to consolidate training processes, modernize course management, streamline registration workflows, improve accuracy of training documentation, and reduce reliance on outdated systems such as Cornerstone and Lotus Notes. Acadis provides stronger automation, centralized records, improved reporting, and a more reliable long‑term platform for training operations.
Acadis allows us to use a single system for two distinct functions:

  • Training managed and delivered by CSTI to responders all over the state
  • Tracking Cal OES Employee Training Records (ETRs)
When will Acadis go live?

Acadis is planned to go live at the start of 2027 Q4 2026 for CSTI course related functions.
Cal OES’s Employee Training Request (ETR) process will transition from Lotus Notes to Acadis later in 2027.

What benefits do we expect Acadis will provide?
Acadis will automate course registration and administrative workflows, digitize prerequisite and eligibility checks, centralize training records, transcripts, and certification tracking, maintain audit‑ready documentation, reduce reliance on legacy systems such as Cornerstone and Lotus Notes, improve accuracy and consistency of training data, and enhance reporting and visibility into training activity.
Will I lose my training records and have to start over in the new system?
No, your training records will be carried over from the legacy system into Acadis.
Will I be able to store my training certificates in Acadis?
Certificates for courses taken through CSTI Acadis will be available, along with certificates for CSTI courses taken using the legacy LMS, Cornerstone. You will not have the ability to use Acadis as a storage space to upload/store/retrieve certificates for courses taken in other systems with other providers.
How does Acadis improve access to training records?
The platform stores course history, prerequisites, testing records, and other essential training documentation in one place, making it easy to search, retrieve, and provide records when needed.
How do I get my CSTI training certificates from Cornerstone LMS?
Our plan is to transfer training data, including certificates, to Acadis so you’ll be able to access them in the new system. If so desired, while Cornerstone is still active, you can download your CSTI training certificates from the Cornerstone LMS after logging in to your LMS account and navigating to your transcript.
Where can I learn more about the system or get updates?
Project updates will be shared through CSTI communications for TMS to all CSTI students and instructors & internal Cal OES announcements for ETR communications. This page will be updated as the project progresses, you can also find updates at caloes.ca.gov/csti-tms
When will training for Acadis be provided?
Acadis is very user friendly and intuitive, and users will usually be able to follow the system prompts without specific training. More specialized training and job aids will be available and will be provided closer to the platform’s go live date; stay tuned for more details.
How can I log in to Acadis?
Login instructions will be distributed before launch. You will be able to access Acadis from this landing page, so it’s recommended that you please save this as a bookmark.
I have questions or feedback about Acadis—who can I reach out to?

Questions or feedback can be directed to csti-lms@caloes.ca.gov who will collect input and coordinate information during the transition to Acadis.
