In 2018, Cal OES signed an MOU with Emergency Management Victoria, Australia to share emergency management best practices, safety awareness tactics for vulnerable populations, and collaborate on drought and fire response. Through this collaboration, firefighters from California and Victoria have aided in combatting the devastating wildfires in both jurisdictions in recent years.
