The Cal OES Health & Safety Office provides leadership and guidance regarding health and safety issues. The Health & Safety coordinator is responsible for administering and providing oversight for the following areas:
- Ensures health and safety rules/regulations are compliant with Cal OSHA
- Governs associated Cal OES policies and procedures
- Delivers related training programs
- Conducts employee ergonomic evaluations
- Provides resources for the Cal OES Employee Assistance Program (EAP) program
- Shares cost data and statistics to management
- Contributes to the investigation of workplace injuries
