The mission of the California Child Abduction Task Force is to reduce the risk and incidence of child abduction and increase the effectiveness of a multi-disciplinary response by enhancing skills, knowledge, and awareness of child abduction.
The mission of the Children's Justice Act Task Force is to promote activities that improve:
the handling of child abuse and neglect cases, particularly cases of child sexual abuse and exploitation, in a manner which limits additional trauma to the child victim;
the handling of cases of suspected child abuse or neglect-related fatalities;the investigation and prosecution of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation; and
the handling of cases involving children with disabilities or serious health-related problems who are the victims of abuse or neglect.
The mission of the Domestic Violence Advisory Council (DVAC) is to collaborate with the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to ensure the safety and security of all Domestic Violence victims through the development of policies, procedures and priorities which promote effective and accessible services for victims.
The SAC, established by Penal Code Section 13836 in l980, provides oversight to the Rape Crisis, Child Sexual Abuse, and Child Sexual Exploitation and Intervention Programs at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES).
The VOCA Steering Committee was established to identify additional victim service needs, including training needs for those who work with crime victims, and to assist Cal OES in developing a strategic plan for victim assistance in California.
